We
have been growing organic vegetables here at Flights Orchard Farm for 18
years. It comprises of 30 acres of beautiful red Herefordshire soil The largest farm enterprise by far is organic field vegetable production and 25 sheep. The philosophy of our farm is to grow organic produce in as enviromentally friendly way as possible without chemical input and sell it as locally as possible. The crops grown are wide ranging and include potatoes, carrots, cauliflowers, courgettes, beetroot, squashes, strawberries and many more. The sheep are Wiltshire horns and are very good mowing machines in the orchard, they also graze the clover leys. Other animals on the farm include two horses,ducks, geese chickens and of course Pippin the sheep dog! |
